We do not provide accelerated, weekend, or "crash" courses. We only provide high end, quality flight training. Most of our students take several months and over 80 hours to obtain their private certifcate. This is because we do not teach you to pass a test. We teach you to be a competent, efficient, and capable pilot.
A good pilot is 10% skill and 90% decision maker. Skill is very easy to teach. Almost anyone can be taught to land an airplane. However, decision making is very difficult to teach and is often ingrained from previous life experiences. We tend to carryover our level of acceptable risk from other areas in our lives. This can be good for some and bad for others. Our goal is to provide the proper level of guidance to each student so they may learn what the risks are associated with each decision they make, and to carefully weigh the importance of all factors involved.
Most flight schools hire instructors with less than 500 hours and no experience in the professional world of aviation. These instructors are typically not interested in teaching, but rather time building so they may get a corporate or airline job. All of our instructors are experienced professionals who have a desire to instruct.
